Six months

Sweet Bubs,

I can't believe you're already six months old today.
I can't believe you're just six months old today.

It seems like it was only last week that you looked up at me for the first time and yet I can hardly remember a time before you arrived.

You haven't changed a bit since before you were born. You never stop moving because you're too busy exploring and expanding your reach.

Sometimes I wish you would stop rushing ahead so I can get used to your progress, but it's so much fun to watch you develop new skills that I just try to keep up with your pace. You can roll over every way you want to and scoot around on your back to get where you want to be. You're working hard to learn crawling and sitting and standing. I can tell because you get so frustrated when your little legs don't do as you want them to. You really enjoy family meals in the garden and so do the birds that get to clean up after you.

You're growing and learning and rushing ahead and I love you to bits. Happy half birthday little Bubs!

Quick update

Hi all,

Things got a little hectic, what with a demanding little Bubs, a 4 day work week and an unexpected trip to Texas...

By now, we're already there!

Everything is bigger here, including wasps and mosquito bites....

I'll leave the trip for another post because another event is going on just now.
You may have guessed, but with the start of the Tour de France, we've started the Tour de Fleece as well. Being in Texas, where cycling isn't big to begin, baseball and Nascar are watched, but not the tour. I'll try to catch up watched internet tv, hoping the connection will let me watch at least a little.
As you can imagine, between family visits and a 5 month old being 5 months old, not a lot of spinning gets done. Obviously I wasn't able to bring my wheel, so a spindle it is....

Anyway, you are warned, the Tour de Fleece posting will commence shortly!
